Download Your Evidence as a ZIP From the Command Center

KlaritiQ Team·September 2026·5 min read

When an auditor, a regulator or a customer says "send us everything you have on KYC", the slow part is not the answer. It is the collecting: opening folders, hunting through shared drives, and guessing whether you missed something. The Command Center does the collecting. You ask in plain words, it finds the matching records, you review what it found, and you download the original files as one ZIP.

What you get

One ZIP file, named klaritiq-evidence-(topic)-(date).zip, containing:

  • evidence-locker/: the original files you uploaded to the Evidence Locker that match your request.
  • dpdpa/(case)/: the original evidence files from any DPDPA case that matches. The Evidence Locker and DPDPA case files are stored separately in KlaritiQ, and the ZIP brings them together.
  • audit-trail-manifest.csv: one row for every matching record, whether or not a file could be included.
  • README.txt: the topic, when the package was generated, who generated it, how many records matched, and how many files are inside.

Two ways to ask

In the chat. Open the Command Center and type what you need, the way you would say it to a colleague. For example:

  • Collect all evidence related to KYC
  • I need everything we have on vendor risk
  • Download all my evidence

The reply shows a table of the matching records (the record, when it was added, and whether it has a file) and a button to download the files as a ZIP. If the list is long, use Show all to see every row before you download.

From the Evidence files panel. On the Command Center page, the Evidence files panel sits on the right. Type a topic such as DPDP, SOC2 or vendor risk, or tick "All evidence, no topic filter", then click the download icon. A preview shows what matches before anything downloads. Check it, then download.

How the topic search works

KlaritiQ searches the Evidence Locker and DPDPA case evidence together. It uses AI in two small ways: it expands your topic into the related terms people actually use (a search for KYC also looks for Know Your Customer), and it drops records that only mention your topic in passing. If the AI step is unavailable, the search falls back to plain keyword matching, so a few less relevant records may come through. The matched_on column in the manifest shows the passage that matched each record, so you can see why it was included.

Choosing "All evidence, no topic filter" in the Evidence files panel skips the AI search steps entirely.

AI-assisted searches count toward your organization's daily Command Center AI allowance. The all-evidence download from the panel does not.

What the manifest tells you

Open audit-trail-manifest.csv in Excel or any spreadsheet tool. The columns are:

ColumnWhat it tells you
evidence_idThe record's ID in KlaritiQ
sourceEvidence Locker or DPDPA case
title_or_filenameWhat the record is called
typeFor example document, manual note, assessment response, system data or AI extraction
trustThe record's trust level
created_atWhen it was added
content_hashThe record's content hash, when it has one
case_refThe DPDPA case, if any
original_file_includedyes or no
file_in_zipWhere the file sits inside the ZIP
noteWhy a file is not included, if it is not
matched_onThe passage that matched your topic
related_record_idsOther records that describe the same file

Records without a file

Not every piece of evidence is a file. Notes, assessment responses and system data have nothing to attach, so they appear in the manifest with the note "no file attached to this record". This is why a package can list 40 records and contain 3 files.

When an AI extraction describes a document you uploaded, it is folded into that document's row (see related_record_ids), so each file appears once.

If a record has a file but the file could not be read from storage, the manifest says so: "file could not be read from storage, so it is not in this package". The README counts these too. Nothing is dropped silently. If you see this note, upload the file again to the Evidence Locker and export again.

AI helps you find evidence. It never becomes evidence.

The ZIP contains your own files and your own records. AI is used only to find and filter them. Records that AI produced, such as an extraction from a document, are labelled ai_extraction in the manifest, so anyone reading it can tell them apart from what a person uploaded or wrote.

Good to know

  • The all-evidence export is capped at the most recent 300 records for each of the two sources (Evidence Locker and DPDPA case files). The README says so when the cap applies.
  • Preview and download each run the search again. If evidence is added between the two, or the AI step words the search slightly differently, the ZIP can differ from the preview. The README and manifest always describe what is actually inside the ZIP you received.
  • It is a standard ZIP file. Open it with the ZIP tool built into your computer.
  • Check before you send it. The package is a starting point for an auditor request, not a substitute for reading it. Look at the manifest first, especially for records marked as having no file.
